McKinstry Skip Hire Ltd have been congratulated in their signing of the ‘Halving Waste to Landfill Initiative’, the company were joined by Edwin Poots, the Environment Minister, who witnessed the signing of the agreement.
The skip hire company have already reduced their waste significantly over the years and they currently recycle 85% of the waste they collect. By signing the agreement they have agreed to increase their recycling efforts to 95% by 2012.
The halving waste to landfill initative aims to half the amount of demolition, excavation and construction waste going to landfill by 2012.
