Ladies and Gentlemen, welcome to the dark side (of skip hire). An Aussie waste management company has given the world an interesting option on what to do when a customer doesn’t pay for skip hire. Melway Bin Hire and Demolition, based in Melbourne, returned a skip full of rotten fruit, vegetables and rubbish to it’s owner after the shop keeper refused to pay.
The pile of waste was dumped right outside the shop, where it was collected in the first place. However, the council wasn’t too impressed with the skip hire company and decided that the waste owner was not responsible for the mess due to the bankruptcy of the fruit and veg shop. In the coming weeks an investigation will determine if Melway are to be fined. What a rotten mess.
