One group of cub Scouts managed to raise over £300 last week by recycling something that’s only around at this time of year. Any idea what it is? You can decorate it… it’s a bit prickly… you can get wooden and plastic versions… it is of course a Christmas tree. Tough one that, don’t worry if you didn’t get it.
The Scouts where helped by a company that provides skip hire in exeter to collect and shred the trees in what was the 5th annual Christmas tree shredder event. The money raised will go towards future trips for the group and maintaining the Scout hut – the trees will be turned into mulch. Isn’t recycling beautiful.
