A business that provides skip hire in Basingstoke has launched an appeal that aims to raise £10,000 in aid of the Haiti earthquake fund. For the entire month of February, Basingstoke Skip Hire & Southern Waste Mangement Ltd are going to donate £10 for every 3, 4, 6, 8 and 10 yard skip hired towards the relief work in Haiti.
It’s a worthy casue and the money will go towards helping the survivors of the natural disaster that claimed up to 200,000 lives and left almost one million people homeless. Speaking to a local paper, Leah Meyrick, co-director of the company, said: “Watching the devastating news on the people in Haiti touched all of our hearts.” Good stuff and here’s hoping you hit the £10,000 target!
