MP’s expenses and skip hire, yes there is a link and the SkipHire.org blog has discovered it. When it comes to claiming compensation, those lot that trip over plastic wrapping tape have nothing on Totnes MP Anthony Steen. He had the highest expenses repayment bill totalling £11,211.75 – which included a claim for £117 paid out to a Plymouth skip hire company.
Aside from skip hire, Mr Steen also claimed £10,252.22 for gardening costs, £10k?! that’s one big garden, he’ll probably need a 14 yarders or even a RORO!
