Last week saw one of the worst fires in waste management history at the treatment centre of a company that provide skip hire in Brighton and the surrounding area. Firefighters spent the whole of Thursday night tackling a blaze at Kingspan Skip Hire in Moulscoomb as it ripped through over 50 tonnes of waste and rubbish.
Crews from across the area joined forces to fight the inferno that threatened to spread to nearby properties, but their combined efforts paid off and they eventually had the whole area damped down and fire-free. As for the source of the blaze, inspectors and police officers have visited the site and will report how the incident occured.
