A skip hire firm from Wigan, in the North West is currently embroiled in a legal battle over a moutain of domestic rubbish.   The firm has been refusing to take responsiblity for a huge mountain of waste at their premises, based on the banks of one of the Liverpool / Manchester canals.  The firm have been ordered to pay expenses of £1,000 and have a legal injuction against them, preventing them from adding any further waste to the already mountainous pile.

The next step, according to local MP Lisa Nandy, is to get the current pile of waste removed.  Once this has been acheived the residents of the local area can rest at ease.
